I grew up in a Catholic family, merely traditional rather than by conviction. After living without any interest in God, when I was around 20 years old I started feeling a longing within me, which I had never felt before. I thought it was time to really be Catholic as I should, so I approached the Catholic church, I joined the church group and played the electric base guitar, but my thing was the drums. They would not lend them to me. After a few months, I noticed that feeling of longing still in me. The priest never told us to read the Bible nor to try to seek more of God, he only asked that we arrived in a timely manner for the mass and not to fail to give the alms. So I decided to leave in a peaceful manner that unknown need of “something” in me and left the church group.
Sometime later a brother asked us to buy a Bible, so I would see the truth of things. I was not married yet. My now wife and I decided to buy a Bible and read it. She would read it in the mornings, and at night I would take it home to read. This brother had a rather strange book sent to me, it was called “The Revelation Of The Seven Seals." (it was not the current format that we offer in VGR, but it was written out in a typewriter) I don´t think it was my time to read this book, and the translation was a bit hard to read. Afterwards I was lent two Messages, The Oncoming Storm and One More Time, Lord. These books I could understand perfectly. They were in a very pleasant way of speaking (reading) what God has given us.
When I realized it, I had read the entire New Testament and had finished from Genesis to Chronicles, the matter now was facing the Word. Coming from a Catholic home the tradition was strong, especially around Christmas when we have a tree and the representation of the birth of Jesus. We have four boys, each had their own “baby Jesus." Each year we would take turns to lay him down and then pick him up, that year it was my turn to do it, I had only been reading the Bible 4 months prior to that. I ran into Exodus 20:3, a decision had to be made, so I spoke with my parents and let them know that was wrong, and that I would not participate in it again.
Another year went by, my then girlfriend, and I continued reading the Bible and the Message. With each book we read our understanding of the Word broadened. The moment came when we read Mark 16, He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned, and then in the Message, Bro. Branham repeatedly said that we had to be baptized, but exactly as the Bible teaches in Acts 2:38, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s when we started to look for a church to be baptized in. After going through several Pentecostal Churches and other branches, we realized that none of them baptize according to the Bible. Praise God we found a place to be baptized the correct way, the 2nd day of December of 2000 was when we went down into the waters. Not considering the frigid weather in Monterrey, for it was 19ºF, the baptismal place had a layer of ice over the top.
This Message stirred the desire in us to take it to each person on the face of the earth, well, at least that was our desire, share it from México to Chile. To travel and hand out the few copies we had, and Bibles that we bought with the first fruits from what we sold. I had just purchased a 1960 Willis Jeep, and I wanted so it would be possible to take the Message to places where a common vehicle could not go today. God is moving the governments to pave the roads for me, and to build better routes for me to be able to take This precious Spiritual Food to a hungry people of God.
In October of 2008 the position of distributor was offered to me, something I had always wanted. Only back then I had a very promising job. After 5 years of looking for a position as a quality engineer in one of the best firms in the country, I finally had the position. But that did not stop me, for now I would be doing something that I always wanted to do since coming to know the Lord Jesus Christ. I would be taking the Message (not copies now), but taking the original books and tapes. While it’s true that I don´t travel all the way to Chile taking the Message, it is also true that the five states that we serve are an enormous territory. There is no doubt that God equips His men for the job. I could not imagine how it would be if I did not like traveling so much and drive the way I like to and enjoy doing so.
