Voice of God Recordings started supplying Message Books to Malawi in the mid-1980s. In 1989 Brother Mostapher Saidi was hired to assist in the operations of the library and in the translation work.
In 2002 Brother Saidi was made the full time manager of the VGR Office and the work flourished. The office quickly grew from a simple house operation to a busy, fully-fledged national office, serving approximately 25,000 believers.
In 2013 with the vital support of the churches in Malawi, a VGR Office was constructed. It contains a warehouse, a recording studio, two large offices and a kitchen.
TRANSLATION WORK:
Translation work constitutes one of the major components of the work in Malawi. Sermons are translated into the Chichewa, Chitumbuka and Kyangonde languages and released in both text and audio formats.
Chichewa is also widely read in parts of Mozambique, as well as in Zambia. In Malawi, a large population of the Believers access the Message in Chichewa.
• Chichewa translations: 265
• Chitumbuka translations: 140
• Kyangonde translations: 85
AGAPAO TABLETS:
Agapao Tablet is a little machine that has revolutionized the missionary work around the Message World.
In Malawi, this little machine it also came to change the landscape of the Message. Being that it’s a little machine that has EVERYTHING: all the books, all the tapes, all the translations, Brother Branham videos, you can also search the Message in Chichewa, Chitumbuka and Kyangonde, highlight quotes, and even get every new translation IN A MATTER OF DAYS from when it's finished! INTERNET OR NO INTERNET! It landed like a Trumpet, after the Seal has been opened and Revealed.
It has been a tremendous blessing to the believers of Malawi. The very first consignment of Agapao tablets sent to our Malawi office, changed the mindset towards the listening of the Voice of God. So far, 12,751 Agapao tablets have been delivered to the Malawi Office, with another 2000 tablets completed and ready to ship. By the time we are finished, a total of 14,751 Agapao tablets will have been provided to the believers in Malawi, allowing many believers to be able to hear the sermons in their own languages any time they desire to. This has been a life-changing experience for them as they are able to freely feast on the Word of God.
As of today, the Malawi office on each working day receives Believers, mostly coming to have their Agapao Tablets updated with the latest sermons. The VGR employees work hard to make sure the Believers are able to continue to hear the Voice of God in their homes and in their churches.
