I pray that those of us on the outside of prison will have a continual desire to pray for them and their families. Lord, help us also to have such a hunger for the Message as they do.
Just after my quiet time, I decided to read some letters from the prisons, oh my! Tears of joy were flowing from my eyes while reading, seeing how our Lord Jesus still touching the hearts of people even in a prison.
Lord, please restore my passion, and may I embrace this Word that we have stored up from you.
From one of the prisoners: "I don’t understand how someone can say, I read the Ages or the Seals. There is just so much Word in them it would be like saying, I read the Bible. You can’t do it, you might have gone through it, but finish it, I don’t think so, not in this life." A perfect description of the Word! It never gets old. It's new and fresh every time it is read and/or listened too!
They are in prison, but out of prison at the same time.
I always start out reading these letters feeling sorry for these prisoners. After reading I don't anymore, and find I myself rejoicing and uplifted! I feel sorry for all the people in prison as it were, outside of those prison walls living right among us.
