God Gave Us Elizabeth

Yesterday's article gave the first half of a testimony of an unborn baby, who the doctors said was deformed. The family took God at His Word and claimed that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He still answers prayer. Here is the conclusion.

Facing this situation, I had no other solution but God. I then sent a letter to Brother Joseph Branham, I believe on the evening of November 19th.

The next morning, I received an email from Jeffersonville, confirming to me that Brother Joseph had received my request. That news comforted us and helped us to be calm.

When we did the ultrasound scan on November 26th, the doctors told me it would be the last one, that things hadn’t changed and that at this stage of the pregnancy nothing could change anymore. During that ultrasound scan, the doctor came out of the room, and I stayed with my wife. By looking at the computer screen, we were able to read the pediatrician’s report about the meeting we had with him. The report was saying, “The father of the child says that they are Christians, that they believe in Jesus Christ and that their God is able to solve their child’s problem.” That increased our faith, and there was a challenge to take up.

We continued to pray and to listen to the prophet. I was continually reading Hebrews chapter 11 on the works of faith, and I was constantly applying the prayer cloth that I had brought back from Jeffersonville on my wife. I was telling the Lord exactly this, “Lord, what sin have I committed to deserve such a thing. I caught the vision of Your plan. I support the ministry of Your prophet William Branham, and I encourage the people to listen to the Voice of Your prophet. What will the critics say? They will say, ‘There it is, if he was in the right with his thing of listening to tapes, things like this wouldn’t have happened to him.’ I have not been ashamed of You Lord. In front of the doctors, I told them that I believed in You and that You were able to find a solution to my child’s problem. Will You be trifled with, when they wrote in their reports what I told them about my faith? Lord, bear witness to my faith, confuse the Portland hospital’s devices and confound the USA’s science, which is known to be the most evolved there is. You said that what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Thank you for giving me what I have asked you for."

On the morning of Sunday, December 21st, I listened to Brother Branham and just at the end, I felt a pressure on my heart, like a voice that was asking me to fill in a check and write my request on it. I asked my wife to give me a checkbook (Jesus checkbooks sent out a few years ago) since she was the one who had put them away, and she gave me one. I had decided to fill in this check when I would be back from church, because a brother had come to pick me up to go fellowship somewhere. At the end of the service, the pastor had waved a check to his church. When I came home that day, I did not fill in the check. The next day we were to listen to the Jubilee tape “Why It Had To Be Shepherds." It is after listening to that sermon, on December 22nd, that I filled in the check and I wrote this: “Lord, grant that my daughter Elizabeth comes into this world in perfect health, with each of her organs well formed, for the glory of Your Holy Name.” I signed my name and wrote the full name of the child on the back of the check, and placed it in my Bible, the Brother Branham’s 100th anniversary Bible, on the picture of the Angel of the Lord. From that day, a peace beyond measure filled me.

We were admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening, January 4th, 2014. The nurse who received us told us, “I see in the computer that you have met with a specialist concerning your child’s situation.” I said, “Yes.” She continued saying “All the doctors will be informed that you are here.”

On Tuesday, January 6th, at 10:40 a.m., my wife gave birth to our child. The doctors took the child so fast that I had trouble identifying the child’s sex. I asked a sister, who was with me in the room, to go see the child’s sex, but it was impossible. After cleaning up the child, they covered the child with a blanket, and gave it to me. I gave it to my wife, who gave it back to me before I gave it to Sister Marcaline, who gave it to the doctor. The doctors came close to me to tell me, “We are bringing your child to the third floor, we will call on the specialist, and we will come back to you afterwards.”

A brother called me after the doctors left and I told him that my wife had given birth. He asked for the child’s sex, and I told him that it could only be a girl. He then asked me to inform another brother, and I told him to do it for me because my mind was troubled. After hanging up, something like a voice told me, “Why do you want to wait for what the doctors’ say before telling people of your daughter’s birth, as if you didn’t believe?” Right then, I took my phone to call my friend, and tell him that God had given me a girl. About an hour later, I saw the pediatrician coming to me, and he told me, “I didn’t need machines to examine your child. It’s well and truly a girl." I replied to him: “Doctor, I had told you that my child is a girl, and that I had called her Elizabeth.”

The child is doing well. I don’t have enough words to thank the Lord Jesus Christ, the same, yesterday, today and forever! I am grateful to God, and I have every reason in the world to glorify Him!

We were waiting for Elizabeth, God gave us Elizabeth.
