Brother George Fergusson was born in Trinidad in 1950. He is from a poor family. He has two brothers and nine sisters. They were living in a small town, and then they moved to a village in the tropical rain forest. When not attending school he worked to help the family make a living. He also enjoyed spending hours in the tropical forest whenever he could. He saw himself as a tough guy and he was training to become a boxer. He quit boxing when coming to the Lord at age 17, having lost not one single fight. After a short while he felt the call of the Lord for preaching, which he has been doing since then. He moved to Montreal, Canada in 1975. The first years were very hard for him still having the sea and the tropical forest in his blood (and still has). Many times in the early days, he made project to leave the country and go back to the West Indies, but the Lord had other projects for him keeping him from moving back to Trinidad. It is in Montreal that he got married to his lovely wife Elizabeth. They have four daughters, all serving the Lord, and three grand children. Because of his burden for the French-speaking people in the province of Quebec, he learned the French language quickly and started to evangelize traveling day and night bringing souls to his Master. In 1985 he got in contact with Voice Of God Recordings and Brother Joseph Branham. It was the start of a long friendship that would bring him all over the world as a missionary for VGR. Since then Brother Fergusson has been traveling to countries like Argentina, Brazil, the Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, Chad, Senegal, Benin, Togo, Poland, Romania, Holland, Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, England, Finland, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Haiti, and more. On top of being the office manager, he pastors a church of about 250 believers in Shawinigan, Québec.
Testimony
As a teenager Brother Fergusson could not stand hearing about the Lord Jesus Christ, because he saw so many abuses of children by the Catholic Church in the little village where he grew up. But one day, at the age of 17, the Lord touched his heart and he yielded to Him at an old fashioned altar in a small church of the Nazarenes. Not long after he felt the call to preach and he started holding meetings amongst the Pentecostals, Baptists, and Holiness churches. Soon after, he went to the Nazarenes Bible School in 1968. At the age of 18 he was the youngest student there. During one of the meetings amongst the Pentecostals, someone told him God sent a prophet to this age by the name of William Branham to fulfill Mal 4:5-6. He immediately refused to accept this. A few weeks later, while in deep prayer, God spoke to his heart to change his attitude. He decided to hear for himself what Brother Branham had preached. His first tape that he borrowed from a small Message Church was "The Restoration Of The Bride Tree." After four times of carefully listening to this tape, he was convinced that Brother William Branham was truly the prophet of God for this day. Today he has dedicated his whole life and ministry to the spreading of this Message to the peoples of the world.
