About The Father’s Business

The VGR team in South Africa recently returned from their missionary work where they visited a number of churches in South Africa. Brothers Keith Herne (Cape Town Manager) and Steven Young (Durban Manager) were once again about the Father’s business as they encouraged the believers to STAY WITH THE WORD!

They traveled to nine towns in South Africa, visiting churches, delivering material, reporting on VGR work, and sharing encouraging testimonies. Here is a report from a few towns they visited.

List of stops:

  1. George
  2. Port Elizabeth
  3. King Williams Town
  4. East London
  5. Lady Frere
  6. Butterworth
  7. Mthatha
  8. Bizana
  9. Mount Ayliff

Cape Town

We departed from the Cape Town office at 08:00AM on Friday morning, with the truck fully loaded with Spiritual Vitamins for the Bride in the Eastern Cape.

The first scheduled stop of our journey was in George, approximately four hours from Cape Town. Brother Keith had booked the Step Aside Conference Centre there and extended invitations to all the churches in Mosselbay, George, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, and Oudtshoorn.

Mosselbay

En-route to our destination, we stopped by a believing family in Mosselbay. Brother John Massie and his wife, Sister Merinda received us and treated us to a light snack and a warm cup of tea. We were also delighted to hear from Sister Merinda about how addicted she is to the voice of the seventh angel. With great excitement she told us that she listens to two tapes per day, otherwise her day is not complete. We couldn’t agree more!

George

After enjoying a short time of fellowship, we resumed our journey and headed straight for the venue in George. We arrived at 16:00 and immediately started arranging the chairs and set up the projector for the evening meeting.

Introducing the Agapao Tablet

Soft instrumental hymns were playing in the background as believers entered the hall. The first to arrive was an elderly sister with her children. Thereafter, believers started streaming in, and pretty soon the 100 seats in the venue were all filled. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of new assemblies in the area. The new names will be added to our mailing list.

Brother Keith stepped up to the platform and welcomed all the believers. He quickly reiterated the purpose of the meeting and stressed the importance of listening to the voice of God for our day.

Brother Keith Herne, Cape Town VGR office manager

Many of the belivers attending the meeting have no access to internet so very few visit the VGR website. We wanted them all to feel the pulse of the missionary work going on around the world. Brother Keith took them on visual journey, aided by some VGR banner video’s. The people were so delighted to see the believers in Nicaragua rejoicing around the SAME Voice that turned our hearts back to the original faith. They journeyed with our brothers, as they drove into the highways and byways and witnessed this same Voice reaching deep into the jungles and remote villages around the world.

Next we showed them some videos of the Agapao Tour. The videos captured the excitement of believers in America, and it showed how delighted they are that the Message is being translated and distributed to believers all around the world. Brother Keith stressed that these are the people who sacrificed and make it possible for the Message to reach our shores. In essence, their sacrifices made it possible for us to be here in George, placing the translated microSD cards into the hands of God’s children.

The videos conveyed a powerful message and showcased God’s bouquet of variety. We certainly felt identified here in George, with the saints around the World and “I’m so glad that I can say I’m one of them.”

Now that all the preliminaries were out of the way, and all the videos were heard and the songs had been sung, it was time for the Voice to speak!

We listened to the message: 60-0402 Believest Thou This?

What a blessing the Lord had in store for his children. The question was posed to the audience: “Believest Thou This?” And their response echoed throughout the building: shouts of “Amen” and “Praise the Lord” could be heard all around the hall as believers responded to the Voice.

Congregation in George, South Africa

Towards the end of the sermon the atmosphere in the room was electric. Brother Branham invited us all to stand to our feet and the audience responded. The Spirit of the Lord was present and the people remained worshipping long after the sermon had ended.

Brother Keith then emphasized on the nail clinched by the prophet: When Jesus leaves your home trouble steps in, and when Jesus leaves the church trouble steps in. He further highlighted the importance of bringing the prophet back behind the pulpit and listening to the voice in our homes.

Thereafter, one of the local ministers was asked to close the meeting in a word of prayer and the people were directed to the display table where microSD cards were allocated to the respective families. The believers crowded around the table, each wanting to get their hands on the Stored Up Food for our day.

Many of the new witnessing tracts and translated books were also made available to believers in their respective languages.

We thoroughly enjoyed the first leg of our distribution trip. We are under tremendous expectation for the rest of the journey.

Mthatha

The buildup to our meeting in Mthatha was problematic to say the least.

Mthatha, South Africa

We were informed one day before the scheduled meeting that there were student protests at the University in Mthatha, and that the venue we selected would pose a safety risk due to the unrest. Then we began searching for alternative venues, and were assisted in this regard by one of the local ministers who managed to secure the AFM church for the evening. We checked out the venue and found it suitable for the meeting. It had electricity and sufficient seating capacity for the number of believers we were expecting.

We were scheduled to start at 18:00, however, we made some allowance for believers to find the venue as we informed them about the change only a few hours prior to the scheduled start. We started the meeting at 19:00 and despite the venue change, we had a very good response from the churches in the area.

Brother Keith apologized for the delay and thanked the believers for their patience and support. We proceeded with the videos, keeping the saints abreast with the work around the world.

Thereafter, Brother Pumzile lead the congregation in a few songs, and this laid the perfect foundation for the voice of our day to speak to our hearts.

We listened to the message: 59-0329e The Sign of the Messiah.

The sign of the Messiah was clearly on display during the meeting. The saints rejoiced as the Word discerned the intents of the hearts and pronounced healing to many.

We've received our sign, and we believe the Voice of the sign!

The believers in Mthatha crowded around the table for the numerous translated sermons available, thereafter they lined up for the isiXhosa microSD cards. The voice was now placed in the hands of every family present at the meeting.

May God bless you,

Brothers Keith Herne and Steven Young
