Nepal Earthquake

On Saturday April 25th, the country of Nepal was hit with a magnitude 7.8 earthquake that has brought widespread destruction throughout the region. Local reports state 8 million people across 39 districts have been affected in some way or another. The death toll has exceeded 5,200, with more than 10,300 injured, and these numbers are expected to grow in the coming days. Thank the Lord, we have had no reports of any believers being injured during the disaster. But there is still need for prayer, as the unrest among the population is still cause for concern.

We received this update from our VGR Representative and Nepali translator who is keeping in close contact with our Indian office.

Greetings to you in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

By the grace of God we (the end time Message believers in Nepal) are safe and sound as Rahab in the time of Joshua; she was alive and safe while other people living in Jericho died when the walls of Jericho fell down.

Many Christian people were in church while the earthquake struck in Nepal. They ran out from the churches to save themselves (in Nepal there is holiday in Saturday so people gather themselves in Saturday for church service).

Some other churches are broken, many temples fell down, roads got cracked, and one big hospital – Veer Hospital in Kathmandu fell down.

Many other Christian people also died, but by the grace of God, our believers which are in Kathmandu, Pokhara, near Narayanghat (place called Khurkhure and Gairi) are safe.

Electricity and communication system stopped working due damage of towers and transformers and we can't even communicate with each other.

There is a place called Sindhupal Chowk, little far from Kathmandu, and another place called Gorkha are the epicenter of earthquake. The geography of these two places have changed.

But God is with us and He will never leave us nor forsake us. Brothers, please pray for Nepal. May God open their eyes to believe in Christ, which is the Message of the hour.

God bless you. Your brother in Christ.
