It is with heavy hearts and tears in our eyes that we announce our long-time friend, Brother Doug McHughes, went to be with the Lord last night.

Most of the believers around the world know Brother McHughes as a friend of Brother Branham, who was there when the whirlwind came down at Sunset Mountain. He was the young man wearing sunglasses because of a serious “allergy” in his eye, and his mother was also suffering with tumors on her legs. The Lord honored our brother’s faith, and we all know what happened next.

Brother McHughes left California and settled in Tucson, Arizona, where he pastored Northside Christian Fellowship for more than 40 years. He was a true shepherd, always rising above any strange doctrines and keeping his flock focused on the Message of the hour. He has also been a loyal friend to all of us here at Voice Of God Recordings, never failing to give his love, support, and advice. We’ve always held him in the highest regard and had the greatest trust in his counsel.

Brother McHughes is not just “a friend,” but he is one of the most special friends we could ever have. Please take a few moments today to thank the Lord for his life, and ask for strength for his church, his family, and his very close friend – Brother Billy Paul during this difficult time.

The Message was everything to our brother. He believed the Message, preached the Message, lived the Message, and has now received his reward.
