Letters From Prisoners

The mailbag is overflowing with letters from our brothers and sisters in prison. Here are a few excerpts of their letters from the hundreds we receive every month.

Brothers, I want to express my appreciation to everyone. This Message is my life it is all I want. It’s been 12 years without a computer or TV, and you know, I would not want neither one. I have the Living Word, more current then any news report, and the Holy Ghost, much quicker than e-mail or telephone. What a place God has placed me in. Everything I need is right here in this Message. It did take me a few years to understand, but He does supply all the needs and answers to all the questions. Love all of you and can’t wait till we can hug each other.

You know you cry out but mother can’t help you, nobody here gives a care. So you think, maybe there is a God, and you start crying out for that last hope. I needed help, and they have a spiritual advisor here, whatever that means. I told him my story. I just want God to hold me. He said He is waiting for me. I said, "How do I get to Him, do I see a Priest?" He gave me a piece of paper with your address on it. "What’s this?" he said, "Your directions, follow that or forget it. It is up to you." So, you guys have the directions?

I helped another inmate move his gear to a different cell. He had a book, something about The Seven Seals. I opened it and read a few lines; I asked if I could borrow it. He said no, "I’ve been reading that book every night for three years now, I could not sleep without it." That was three months ago, and now it gets strange. Even though I only read half a page every night when I lay down and rest my mind, I can still see those words just as plane as anything. It’s like they became a part of me or something. I got your address, please send me a copy; there is something special there.

I wish to thank you for sending me the medicine for my sick soul. I can feel the healing process starting already. God bless you.

Thanks be to God for Brother Branham and his ministry; I wonder where would we be if God had not sent him?

Attached is a list of the books that I would like to receive.

FL

Thank you for the new books that you sent me. I enjoy reading the messages of Brother Branham, but I had read the ones I had many times but now I have new ones, and that thrills my heart much.

I also wanted to tell you that I had told you earlier that I was infected with Aids but now after having hands laid on me and faith in God I am now healed and thankful to God.

Please continue to send me more of your books when you can.

I am a federal prisoner, and I believe that I came here because it was the Lord’s will for me to come to know His word here and to give it attention. I have been reading the message of Brother Branham upon the book of Daniel, and it has given me much spiritual growth in the time that I have been reading it.

There are other believers here with me that follow the messages, and I would like to see if you could send us some.

AL

Thank you.

NM

I am reading the Church Ages for the second time. All I can say is thank God for this book, Brother Branham, and this ministry. Many here have never heard or even thought about the things Brother Branham brings to light in this book, but yet they were always there. What a book and what a blessing to us.

VT

Everyone I show the books to love them. Of course not all are believers, but everyone loves them. I tried to understand why. I asked myself what is the attraction to Brother Branham. One thing I know is the truth and that is the Word. We are here because we lied to someone, someone lied to us, and the big one, we lied to ourselves. There is no lie here. Brother Branham don’t care what you think; just truth and I appreciate that. Brother Branham says something that sounds strange, you look it up and there it is, truth. Thank the Lord for Brother Branham.

A Bible college has a course here, and I was accepted in the class. Well, the first thing was to write an essay on someone that had some meaning in the religious world. Well, I knew nothing of that so I asked another inmate that I knew to be a good guy. He gave me a book called A Man Sent From God. So I did my essay and did get an "A" on it. Then the "trouble" started. I could not get what I read out of my thoughts, and the more I thought the more I remembered. I tried to get the book again, but they had transferred him. I tell you I am driving myself crazy. Please send me a copy of the book and anything else you have. This is special, this man was a Godly man; he is special.

Send the Gospel, nothing compares to this Message, it’s perfect and beautiful. Thank you my friends.

Brothers, I am down to my last year, and I am excited about going home. I was sitting reflecting back over the years and what I remember. I can say that the most eventful thing was someone handed me a book called Church Ages. Ever since that, my life has taken a new direction. Brother Branham has taken me around the world and from hunting to praying for an Opossum. I am a new man. Not just a new coat, same coat, but new inside. Brother, I owe you big time, you have always been there, not just for me, but all that you serve. I plan, when I get out, to do all I can to help in this the greatest work in the world.

I just wanted to let you know I received the books, and I thank you for sending them to me. I know that Brother Branham had to be a man of God. I never read anything that lined up with the Bible like he does. I am forever indebted to Bother Branham for making the Bible more than a Good Book to me; he brings life. Next I would like to read the book about the Seven Seals, I can’t wait.

VA

I was reading the book of the Seven Seals, and I was moved from my unit and I couldn’t finish it all. I would like to receive it from you. I think it’s so interesting, and it made me really think about things I hadn’t understood. I would also like to receive the two following books: Adoption and Brother Branham.

TX

I have really enjoyed reading the books especially since the brother does not deal with religion, but rather with relationship with God. I would like to know if the brother is still alive. If he is, I would like to meet him sometime. Thank you.

AL

You might not know this, but the books you send here are used by 30 of us in a weekly Bible study. At first we wondered what this was about. There is no introduction in the books we just jump right in. Then we realized that these were indeed sermons right from the pulpit. So we arranged our chairs accordingly, and each one takes turns saying Brother Branham’s words right from the books. What a blessing for us to sit under the teachings of the prophet of God.
