God STILL Has A Sense Of Humor

This testimony will put a smile on your face.

I would like to share this testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness although sometimes His answers come in unexpected ways. Brother Branham tells us that Jesus had a sense of humor while He walked on this earth. My testimony is that He is truly Heb. 13:8 and STILL has a sense of humor. He changes not!

I refinish gym floors for a living and summers are my busy time. Last Saturday (after Quiet Time) I went to a local high school gym to apply the final coat of finish. It was important that I get this done then so I could stay on schedule. When I got there, I opened the outer door with the electronic key to get in, but soon discovered that the janitors had locked all the interior doors (including the door to the room with the light panel) and that my key didn't work on them.

After searching for a janitor, I realized that there was absolutely no one else in the school, it being Saturday. In addition, I had left my phone at home, but it didn't really matter because I wouldn't have known whom to call anyway. I found one light switch in the gym that turned on two lights in this vast auditorium. It was enough light to do the prep work but nowhere near enough to apply finish. As I began to prep, I thought in my heart, “Well maybe somebody will come by the time I'm ready to do the finish.”

As I continued to work, my mind went back to a time earlier that summer when God had supernaturally sent somebody by at the exact moment I needed to see them. Feeling a little rebuked for waiting so long, I bowed my head in prayer and asked God to please send a janitor by with a key right before I was ready to do the finish.

Well, I finished buffing the floor and took the machine out into a hallway to vacuum it off while my boys began to clean the floor. As I began to vacuum, unbeknownst to me, the filter fell off inside the vacuum. It was placed behind me, so I couldn't see it. Sure enough, dust quickly filled the air inside the hallway, which just happened to have a smoke/dust detector directly above the vacuum.

The next thing I knew, the alarm started squawking, lights began to flash and a voice began speaking, warning me to move to the nearest exit. I tell you, in that huge, dimly lit arena, it was positively spooky. My first thought was, "Oh great, just one more thing going wrong today.” After a minute or two however, I realized that this would probably bring a janitor by (as well as the fire dept.) and was a direct answer to my prayer!

Well, to make a long story short, the fire dept. came, couldn't shut off the alarm and THEY called a janitor to come and turn off the alarm. While waiting for him to get there, I went back into the gym to continue cleaning. After about 20 minutes (the alarm was still flashing, squawking and talking) I thought, "Lord, please send him by quickly, this is really annoying." Immediately an answer came back, "You prayed that I would send him right before you were ready to do the finish, and you're not ready yet!” I began laughing and said, "Yes Lord, You’re right I did ask that," and began to thank Him and Praise Him. Sure enough, when I was almost ready to do the finish, the janitor got there, turned off the alarm, opened the door to the light room, and turned on the lights.

Praise the Lord!!!
