I always enjoy reading these “little things” testimonies. It is so true what this sister says, that we should always remember that He cares for us, even in the very little things of life, and wants us to involve Him! Sometimes I forget that.
My wife and our son were camping a few weeks ago and had a similar experience. I woke up early after a rough night with our 3-year-old son to get some things from our car. I unlocked the door and got what I needed, leaving the car unlocked. It wasn't much later and my wife and son were up and we decided to go for a hike. My wife also needed to get into the car before we left and called down to me to unlock the door for her. I was feeling around my pockets for the key to unlock it for her, but couldn't find the key. Then I remembered the door was unlocked and I had probably set the key down somewhere or left it inside the car. Needless to say, she got in. When she finished, she pushed the door locks and locked the car assuming I had actually unlocked the doors for her with my key!
We went on our hike and on the walk back she told me that the she had locked the car cause her purse and her keys were inside. That is when I started to worry. I told her I didn't have a key and I hadn't unlocked the door for her. I told her that I may have left the key inside the car. As we walked we became more and more worried about what we would do if both keys were locked in our car. I immediately thought of all these "little things" testimonies and the many answers to prayers for lost keys, eyeglasses, and even a sister being locked out of her house.
For some reason, I hesitated and we kept talking about how terrible it would be if we were locked out of our car so far away from home and any family. As we approached our campsite, I grabbed my wife's hand and told her we should pray that we would find that key. We all bowed our heads and prayed a simple prayer.
As we came down the hill I could see our car about 50 yards away and I said to my wife, “I found our key” and kept saying, “You won't believe it!” From 50 yards away I could see under our car to the other side and could see a shining key. I'm not sure how it was shining because it was in the shade, but it was! We walked to the car and sure enough, the key was sitting on the ground next to the car. I know I left the key in the car. He put outside for us.
God is so good to us! Thank you Brother Joseph for these testimonies you share with us. It is so encouraging and you see how God is doing so much for us around the world.
God bless you!
