When we posted the article titled, “Jesus Christ The Same Yesterday, Today, And Forever” on May 27, we knew it would be a blessing to a lot of people. The miraculous story of a little girl being healed of sickle-cell anemia was accompanied by a song, written by her mother, thanking the Lord for healing her baby.
What we neglected to put in the story was the words to the song (sorry about that). We contacted Sister Alwina, and she kindly translated her song for us.
The song is sung in Dutch. Here are the words in English:

A song of thanks: I Cannot But Bless Thee.
Chorus:
I cannot but bless Thee,
I sing Hallelujah to Thy Name.
I cannot but praise Thee,
for what Thou has done for us.
A second blessing was Zipporah,
after Simeon who was already here.
Yes, our daughter was another miracle,
brought to us by Thy grace.
Then all of a sudden the doctor came to tell us
what kind of disease that she had.
Her whole life would be miserable,
Oh no, what a blow!
Chorus
Our pearl, she fell so ill.
She almost died, even got paralyzed.
From the doctor she had to live from then on,
on medicine and other men’s blood.
But Thy grace was ready, steady.
Thou descended and touched her,
gave her new life and she was healed;
Lord Jesus, Praise Thy name!
Chorus
My Jesus,
our Saviour,
what would we do
if it wasn’t for You?
Precious Saviour,
our Redeemer,
I give You glory and say, Thank You.
