Witness

We launched our new tracts and website in December. In the six months that themessage.com has been online, we have received a total of 145,000 page views from 23,000 different visitors. We get a steady stream of 200 to 300 visitors every day, and about half of those people are visiting the website for the first time. That means there are a lot of people using themessage.com as a witnessing tool.

Our tracts are now designed to work in cooperation with that website. We have a tract that gives a brief explanation of some important doctrines, and another tract that gives an in-depth introduction to the messenger himself; all of the text in the tracts can be found on our website. For the times when the door is only open for a moment, you can still give them a quickly-read card that asks a challenging question and points them to themessage.com for the answer. The little cards can be kept in a glove box, purse, or even a man’s wallet.

One of God’s special little birds gave this sister an opportunity to say a word about the Lord, and she followed up with one of the witnessing cards.

Lately there have been several postings about the robin. Today something very unusual happened. My husband had to have surgery unexpectedly. After his surgery I'd gone outside to get a phone charge cord from our truck.

On the way back to the hospital entrance, I saw a robin on the strip of grass between the sidewalk and the drive-up area (where patients are picked up or dropped off). At first, the robin was moving my way and I was hoping it would come closer. Instead, it turned and headed right toward a parked car, jumped onto the roof of it and began pecking on the sunroof. The lady inside opened the door and asked if there was something on the roof of her car. I said yes a robin was on it, pecking. She said, "Ooh that's creepy." I responded, "I'm a Christian and I believe animals are God's creatures, so I'd consider it special rather than creepy." She said, "Well maybe I should view it as a good omen." Then she told how she was waiting for her mother-in-law to be released. I said goodbye and that I wished the best for her mother-in-law.

When I returned to my husband’s room on the forth floor, I told him the story. Then I looked out the window and noticed her car still down there at the curb near the entrance. I decided to search for a witness card. I could not find one anywhere in my purse. Then I thought of checking my husband's wallet and found one. I looked out and the car was still there. I prayed that if I was meant to give it, that she would still be there when I got back down and outside. She was, so I gave her the card and she thanked me for it. I'd never have had the courage to do that if it hadn't been for the robin.

God bless you.

Your sister in Christ
