Dear VOGR and YF,
Thank you for sharing the testimony (branham.org 2-24-2014) of the young man named Jason who found the witnessing card in a gas station bathroom. My husband was reading this article aloud to our family, and my six-year-old, Joseph, got so excited. He said, "Now I know where to put them!" He couldn't wait to go to town and give it a try.
The next day we headed to town, loaded with a stack of witnessing cards. Now you must understand that Joseph is usually very shy around strangers, and will not speak to them, even if they ask him questions. At our first stop, the children headed to the bathroom and water fountain to drop off some of their special cargo.
By the time we got to the next stop, the hardware store, Joseph had gotten a little braver. He walked up to the first man and handed him a witnessing card. Being well received, his courage built up and he handed out many more till we left the store. The people seemed surprised, and would usually thank him.
As the day went on, he got more and more excited, as he continued to hand out the witnessing cards. He also encouraged his older sisters to hand them out. Between stores, he would say, impatiently, "I wish I wasn't sitting here! I wish I was out giving out witnessing cards!" And, "This is my favorite hobby!" Once, when I asked the children to stay with the cart while I went and grabbed something, he asked to go along "...in case I meet up with someone."
He was just beaming, and as I would say, bouncing off the walls. After several hours, we headed home, and he was still asking to go to more stores. He got out around 30 witnessing cards in that one trip, and that is now his mission whenever we go to town, to see how many cards he can give out!
I hope Joseph's zeal for witnessing never wanes, and I hope this testimony encourages others to witness to those about them. If a shy six-year-old can do it, you can too.
