It’s the middle of April, and Brother Branham has already traveled more than 3,600 miles from meeting to meeting (that’s not including trips home or to any other location). This week, he is at the McKay Auditorium in Tampa, Florida for a Wednesday-Sunday series of meetings.
During the previous services, you may have heard Brother Branham mention Brother Roy Borders. Brother Roy was his campaign manager for a few years, setting up the meetings and even leading songs once in a while. Sister Helen, Brother Roy’s wife, still works in the service of the Lord here at Voice of God Recordings. These meetings brought back some fond memories for her.
After the meetings ended we all headed up to Jeffersonville. It was a dark, stormy night, and I was terrified. That day, Brother Morris Ungren’s daughter had fixed my hair up in a bun on the top of my head. As usual, we drove our three cars in a row. Brother Billy went first, we came second, and Brother Branham came third. It stormed so bad that we could hardly see the car in front of us. When we stopped to eat, Brother Branham said, “I thought I was lost a couple times there, ‘cause I couldn’t see. Then lightning would strike around us, and I could see Helen with that funny looking hairdo in the car ahead, and I knew it was Roy’s car.” I NEVER wore my hair that way again.
When we got up into KY somewhere, we stopped at a restaurant to eat. When we got inside, the menu read for almost every item, “very nice green onions” or whatever, all called “very nice.” So we called it the “very nice restaurant.” While there, Brother Branham, who knew how afraid I was of storms, said to me, “Helenut, (Brother Branham’s nickname for Sister Helen) do you know what to do if you see a tornado coming?”
“Yes!” I said, “pray!”
“I mean after that,” he answered.
“No, I said,” suddenly very serious.
Brother Branham then said, “You get out of your car, and lay in the ditch!”
Every time since then, if I am driving and it is storming, I look for a ditch, hoping that this won’t be that storm!
Our reason for going all the way up to Jeffersonville was to pick up Brother Branham’s new station wagon. While here overnight, we got to see the Tabernacle for the first time after the addition was put on and the exterior bricked.
Then, we started down to Tallahassee FL, where Brother Branham, Brother Billy, and Roy were going fishing before the Tampa meetings.
On the way down, Brother Branham drove his new station wagon 35 miles an hour for the first 1,000 miles. (this was for the “break-in period for a new car)

Now, every Christian, every believer has longed to see Him, to have some way to contact Him, and to get more of Him, believe Him more. And that's what we're here to do, together, to see if we can't pull together and believe the Scriptures for that purpose.
So we're--we're trying to get every soul saved, so that Jesus can come. And He cannot come until that last one that has the name of the Book of Life, that was put There before the foundation of the world; when that name is called, that's the last one then.
But, see, in the resurrection, there'll be no memory at all of the old age.
God meets man on one basis, that's under the shed Blood, and that's the only place He'll ever meet him. Outside of that, you're just fighting the air.
When that Word is ready to be manifested, then God sends down a prophet and reveals the Word to His prophet. The Bible said, "The Word of the Lord came to the prophets. And He does nothing till He reveals it to His prophets."
It's the portion of Word for each age. And how does He make it known? He makes it known by His servants, the prophets. He all... How is the--how is the prophet understood? When he prophesies anything, and it comes to pass.
Man is always praising God for what He has done, looking forward for what He will do, and ignoring what He's doing. That's as good as the devil wants them to be, very religious scholars and educators: prove what He had done, and prove what He's going to do, and ignoring what He's doing.
And He only comes to those who are looking for Him. God always does that. He comes to His Own.
The appearing of the Son will be pretty soon. "In the hour when you think not, It'll be caught away." People go right on preaching, thinking they're getting saved, and everything. He'll be... Just like it was in coming of John, all, they go right on, done past the time. It's later than we think.
