My friends,
We’ve received a lot of questions about VGR hosting Easter meetings this year, and through much prayer, I have decided that we will not be having services. However, I still have it on my heart to do something special for the Lord and His people this Easter, and it reaches far beyond a few thousand people flying to Jeffersonville.
I know that Daddy loved to see us all shaking hands and greeting each other in love, and that’s how I feel about the Jubilee sermons. It’s an opportunity for us to worship together and pray for each other, even if we are separated by thousands of miles. Our hearts just long to worship together. That’s why the Jubilee has been so powerful over the past year. Hundreds of thousands of people have joined in, not only to listen to the Word, but to listen to the Word together. When listening to these sermons, we are united under the Word of God. There is no division, no doctrinal differences, no big me’s or little you’s; just unity. I don’t know about you, but that really makes me feel good.
With this in mind, I would like to invite you to listen to the upcoming Jubilee sermons this Easter weekend. If you have been following these meetings, you might have noticed that Brother Branham has been having many of his Sunday services in the afternoon, rather than in the morning. He didn’t want to interfere with the pastors having their own church services, and he did not want the people to miss his services, so he scheduled the meetings at 2:00 in the afternoon. That way, everyone who wanted to come would have the opportunity, and there would be no hard feelings with the pastors.
We will be listening to the Friday ("Then Jesus Came And Called"), Saturday ("Jesus Keeps All His Appointments"), and Sunday ("The Trial") Jubilee services at 2:00 in the afternoon, your local time. Some churches may want to play these tapes in their morning or evening services. That would be wonderful also! For those churches that already have plans for Easter, the people can still hear Brother Branham’s sermon in the afternoon, whether it is in their homes or anywhere else.
Let’s reach out to each other this Easter. Cherish every moment while you are in church. Don’t let anything come between us. Pray for each other. Pray for anyone who has done you wrong, and forgive them. Pray for all those who are listening to the tape. Thank God for your families and friends. Most of all, give thanks to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He has given us so much during these closing hours of time.
God bless you, my friends. I have VERY high expectations for these Easter sermons.
Your servant in Christ,
Brother Joseph
I think, when Solomon built the first temple it was cut out from all over the world, shipped in: cut out from the quarries; and the--and the cedars cut up at Lebanon, and floated down to Joppa; and hauled in by ox cart, and so forth. And it was so masterly built that when the temple went together, it had all kinds of little funny looking stones in it. But when they began to read the blueprint, it was all in the blueprint. And there wasn't not even a buzz of a saw, or sound of a hammer for forty years in building the temple.
I think that's the way God's got His people all cut out. One's got a nature of one kind, one another. But they're all Christians, fitted stones, joined together upon the Chief Cornerstone, Christ Jesus. Oh, there's the main thing. So many reject that precious Cornerstone, where we're all built together, cemented together with God's love. That's right. God's love.
And when we have that, there's nothing will separate us. There's nothing can divide us, as long as we love one another. I've been a minister for thirty-one years. I've seen all kinds of gifts. I've--I've seen God do great things. But the greatest thing I ever seen in my life was love. It's the most powerful force that stops anything there is, is love: love that moved a mighty God. "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son." Love is a great keynote, thing we--we leave out. It's something that's eternal.
