Wisdom

Kids are kids. Even the most behaved young ones have a tough time sitting still for extended periods of time. In this case, Dad made the most of their energy and took the opportunity to teach them the importance of prayer. There is one thing for sure in this testimony; the brothers and sisters in the Catch The Vision magazine appreciate this father’s wisdom in raising his children.

I wanted to share a testimony with you that might help other parents with young children. The church I attend recently had a prayer meeting on a Saturday. The prayer meeting itself lasted about an hour and 15 minutes, apart from the singing before and after. My four-year-old daughter and three-year-old son both wanted to pray with my wife and I but quickly stopped kneeling down after a short time and wanted to do other things.

I took them to an overflow room in the church where there were less people. Still, they had problems behaving. I took the recent Catch the Vision magazine of Indonesia and opened it up on my lap for my son and daughter to look at. We started praying out loud for each person we saw on each page. My three year old especially loved it. I have read Catch the Vision magazines for years and have enjoyed them, but never did I enjoy it like I did when we prayed for each person we saw on each page we opened.

I thought this might help other parents that struggle to pray with their kids. Next time we get a Catch the Vision Update or Catch the Vision magazine I’m looking forward to another time of prayer with my kids!

God bless you,

Your brother in Christ
