Fourteen consecutive years of raking, shoveling, and other grueling tasks of punishment, but they keep coming back for more! The resilient PA crew (and some friends from other parts) once again made their exhausting, overnight journey to Jeffersonville to spend the next two days sprucing up the grounds at Voice Of God Recordings and Still Waters. After driving all night long and arriving in Jeffersonville just before daylight, they greeted the VGR yard crew with big smiles on their faces (some real, some forced.) Quickly, work began, and their chores would not end until almost 7:00 that evening.
Needless to say, the crew slept great that night. They were refreshed by the next morning, ready to tackle the next list of jobs… but first, they set aside one hour of Quiet Time with Him. Throughout the VGR building, some 45 brothers chose their place of consecration for that hour. A sacred silence seemed to be more dominant than the high-paced machinery and shouts from the previous day. It was Quiet Time in the Storehouse.
“Please thank Brother Joseph for this opportunity that we had, to have this hour of consecration in this special place,” one brother said. It seemed like the capstone of the weekend, as it acknowledged the real purpose of all these efforts: it was all in honor of Jesus Christ, and His Bride.
Day 2 finally came to a close for the worn down crew, but their spirits never wavered. After the farewell hugs and handshakes, we bid our friends a safe journey home. We appreciate the sacrifice that these brothers make more than we could say, but we want to tell them “Thank you” and “God bless you” for all these years of hard work!
