The Still Small Voice

We should never ignore that still, small voice that seems to be telling us something important. This sister heard that voice, and was obedient to the call.

I was reading the "Quiet Time" testimony of Bro. Sergio from Angola (12/3/12), and when I reached the part with putting God first, I remembered a testimony that I wanted to share with you all. I trust that this testimony be a blessing to you.

One Sunday morning, I awoke to help my mom prepare lunch for the family before we leave for church that morning. I didn't kneel to pray before starting off. I went to the kitchen, put the food contents in the pressure cooker and began to wash the dishes. Something started to speak to me like my conscience, “You didn't pray. Put God first. Leave what you are doing and go and pray.”

I didn't hesitate. I left all the dishes and went to my room. During my prayer, I heard a loud burst in the kitchen. Well saints, I started thanking the Lord at once in my prayer because I realized what had happened. The pressure cooker burst open, sending all the contents all over the kitchen to where I would have been had not the Lord sent me to pray. I want to thank God for His protection and even though I didn't pray at first, He still protected me by allowing me to obey that Still Small Voice that spoke to me in the kitchen. God bless you.
