Letters From Prisoners

We send thousands of letters and packages every month to inmates around the United States. For some, they hear about the Message for the first time while in prison. For others, prison is a wakeup call that they need to get back to the Lord. Still others have concerned friends and family requesting that we send them books. Every letter sent from the inmates to VGR is answered and every request for Message books is filled.

Here are a few excerpts of letters from prisoners.

I’m sorry but I was one of those guys that scoffed at these book and the guys that talked about them. Then someone said to me that they dared me to just read one and see what I think. Well I did and I want to apologize to you for my actions. I’ve been here a long time and I guess it makes you skeptical about anything. God, through these Messages has showed me that I was wrong. The Church Ages was the best I ever read, so much revelation. Please send me some books. I have no money, all I could scrounge together was two stamps, one’s on the envelope and the others one’s inside for you.

Thank you for the Hebrews book, it arrived just as our group started studying Hebrews. What insight. I can’t understand why there is only Voice Of God that sends material to the inmates. I’ve asked around, even the chaplain and they all said if you want to learn about God, it’s just you guys. Praise the Lord for Voice of God.

I met a brother who had some of your books by Minister Branham and they seemed to be interesting. He also gave me an order form of the books that you have. I want these books as I have told that they are filled with the spirit of God. I have seen a change in some of the other prisoners that are reading them and I too want a change in my life.

I am Catholic and agree with the church in most things, but not on the subject of communion, as I cannot see how that a priest can turn the bread into the body of Christ. I have been reading one of your books that is called “The great Harlot” and have found it to be interesting.

Dear Rev. Branham,

I write to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, hoping that all is well with you.

I am from Guatemala, I am 38 years old, married and have 2 children. I have been a member of a Pentecostal church for some time. Recently I was picked up by the police on my way to work and was arrested for not having papers. Immigration sentenced me to 33 months in prison for illegal reentry as I had been deported in 1998. When I arrived to this prison I found that almost all the Bible literature here was trinitarian, but I came across one of your books and was quite surprised by its teachings, and that is why I am writing to you. I still have 2 years left on my sentence and I want to use that time to study.

May God richly bless you for the precious messages of Brother Branham that you have sent me and are enriching my life. I had a lot of question about life that were important to me and I could not find the answer anywhere, but once I read my first message book by Brother Branham those questions were answered, it was as if God himself was speaking to me. I now understand better the scriptures.

It’s amazing, a few months back I read Brother Branham’s Message and here I am already baptized in the Name or Jesus Christ. How fantastic is that. I just fell in love with this Message. I’ll never forget reading that book and all of a sudden, whoosh and I just got so cold and shook. I thought, wow that was cool. From that time on, every time I read the Message I just go so excited. I don’t know where I go but I’m not in this cell. This is like Gatorade for the soul; it puts back what I’ve lost. I have five stamps; I just got to be part of this work.
