The prison ministry continues to be a growing outreach here at VGR. Whether its by letters we receive from inmates or emails from family members for their loved ones, the request is the same: more of the Word.

Just a note to say that I thank you for the material that you have sent me. I appreciate it very much and all this will help me get closer to God. I will be leaving in 2 weeks and I will be taking these books with me.

I apologize for writing you from prison. I was a Church Of Christ member and thought I was doing well. You know every sermon sounded the same. Even when I was arrested, the services in here was the same. I believe I met more Christians in jail than I ever knew outside; interesting. Then a book called Holy Ghost fell in my lap. I started reading and, sure I know that, and that and, whoa, what was that! The Holy Ghost is not a story or something you just talk about, it’s alive. I asked the chaplain and the visiting ministers and they all say the same, different day. But Brother Branham says the same, never changing, what a comfort. I believe Brother Branham. Please brothers send more of the Holy Ghost filled Message.

Thank you Brother Branham, I owe you so much. Thanks to you I now have a new life, new outlook and have given myself to the Lord Jesus Christ, whom I never knew before. I was raised Message and met my wife in church, but we were not what we said we were. Short story, she was married, we did drugs and well you can fill in the rest. There was an accident and she was taken and I ended up in really bad shape. My attitude was, why, God took her, I was angry and ended up in jail. More anger. You think a lot in here and you have a lot of time. Someone handed me a book, I had to laugh, it was yours. I read it cover to cover, and cried, all those years of church I never even looked at your books. Now years later I still cry, but at His mercy, I now know my Lord Jesus Christ, I know my life was all my fault. We were doing wrong, we were a mockery, and paid the cost. You can’t break God’s Laws. I thank you Brother Branham, and I thank God for His Message, which you brought to me. Never give up the fight.

I have read everything you have sent me and made a list for you so you can send me more. Currently I am re-reading the Church Age, I am stopping at every page, I pray for revelation and then meditate on each word I read. Seems like a new book to me. See, I am in here and this is my time to get right with God. I must use this time wisely for I fear I will not get another chance.

My brother has been placed in jail in Ca. Last I spoke to him I felt something was wrong, I asked him what going on. He wondered around a while and then finally said another inmate gave him a book to read. He said this book was from a man he never heard of, but it was directed directly to him. He spoke of everything that was wrong in his life and I tell you, many people have spoken to my brother but this man… well changes everything for him. He asked me if I would try to get him more of these books. All he really knew was Spoken Word, Jeffersonville. I searched and found your address and am asking you to please send my brother books and send me a few. There has got to be something special to touch my brother.

I thought I gave my life to the Lord years ago, but somehow I ended up in prison. Then another inmate gave me the Hebrews book and I gave my life to the Lord. That was a year ago. That book showed me so much that I thought I knew everything, why I could tell anyone what they needed. I was a son of God! Then I received the Adoption book. Shame on me I was no more a son of God then this cot I sleep on. There was nothing humble about me and I led myself rather than being led. This time I broke my heart, I was a fool, I was a shame. In tears I rededicated myself to my Father, I felt myself being lifted off my knees. I knew this was different, I was changed. Brothers there is a lot more in these sermons then just the words, I can’t explain it but I know it for a fact!

We sing the song Amazing Grace in Chapel, I always liked the song. A fellow here gave me the book, “The Mystery Of God.” Wow, I never knew what Amazing Grace was until I read this book. Brothers I want to tell you- Brother Branham was truly Amazing Grace to me. It is amazing that God would send this Message to me that I might understand who Jesus Christ is!

We are so glad for Brother Branham, see I am writing to you in hopes that you can send me a Bible so that I can study. There are about 60 of us here who attend the services here 3 days a week. This group is made up of mainly Apostolics who do not believe in the trinity and we baptize according to Acts 2:38. Because of this we are not accepted by the other groups and they don’t like us. We never knew that there were believers around the world that felt like we do. I hope that you can help me. God bless you.

Thank you for all your attention and for your prayers. I once had requested a prayer cloth but and it was for mother of a friend and after being diagnosed by the doctor we prayed and laid the prayer cloth over her she was better, thanks be to God.

Well brothers, I am here in this prison, but I am enjoying the blessings of the Lord as He has given me joy, peace and understanding in my heart. I still have my wife and son in Guatemala and I miss them but what is helping me is that I am seeking the Lord and I am attending church services here at the prison. One of the brothers gave me a book that he got from you called, 'William Branham Life Story' which I read and enjoyed much but the brother told me that if I wanted any more I would have to ask you for some. I therefore am writing to you in the hopes that you can send me some, even though I am not able to pay for them. I also would like a Spanish Bible. Last of all, I want to ask you to pray for me and my family that we can do the will of God in our lives.

I have been in prison for 20 years now and Lord willing I’ll get out this year. Over the years I have read every Message I could; funny how this Message changes your vision. You see things differently. My dad passed away a while back, then my brother and about 4 month ago my mother, family have all gone. The only think that has been by my side for all these years is this Message. I love this Message, I love Brother Branham and you guys. Every letter, every prayer, I thank you. I know without the strength of the Lord Jesus Christ I would not be here today. What an assurance to know that no matter what, this Message will be here tomorrow, unchanged. God bless the work that you brothers have the burden for, someday you’ll know what it was all for. I will see you there!!

We had a preacher stop by and hold a service here. I’ll tell you it is hard to talk to anyone about Brother Branham until one of these preachers hold a service for us. I sat there and listened to his sermon, we are all on the road down and there is only one way. We hear it over and over. He came to the end and wanted questions, course it was Christmas so I asked him who Jesus’ Father was. He said God, smiled and said everyone knew that. He looked around but I said I thought it was the Holy Spirit, the Bible says, he jerked his head toward me and said, I know where you are going and where you got that from. I said well? He said my time’s up; I got to get out of here. He left and about 6 inmates came up to me asking questions and also for books. Like I said, when a preacher comes here…

Brothers thank you for all you do for Christ and to encourage our faith. I pray this ministry always continue to touch the souls and hearts of believers. The Lord blessed me years ago by allowing me to have faith in Him. But it was not until I received this Message from the prophet, that I received wisdom and understanding. Brother, this Message takes it down to the bone, it hurts and then it rebuilds. I have come further in 8 month than I ever would have dreamed. I look back and wonder, how could I have believed that? Others now come to me to learn, you know at first it was a rush, but something said to me how did I come to you. So now I just give them a book and say Quite Time. Praise God and thank you.
