What If?

But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Matthew 9:12-13

What separates us from the drunk on the curbside or the woman smoking a cigarette on the street corner? Only the Blood of Jesus Christ. Without that, we might as well be one of those people, because there is no life without Him.

Most of us have grown up with Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, Brother and Sister, friends and family, calling out our names before the Lord. But think of the multitudes of people who don’t have what we have. With their upbringings and their lives, it is quite possible that no one has ever said as much as a simple prayer for them.

As we see these people on the street, do we know their ultimate destination? Rather than turn our heads and ignore them, what if we go before the Lord Jesus and ask for mercy?

The Lord was dealing with this sister early in the morning, and when the time came, she recognized that He wanted her to pray. She didn’t give a tract or even say a few words. Instead, she gave a smile and brought a simple prayer before the Mighty God.

What is the result of that prayer? Only Eternity will tell.

Greetings Brothers and Sister In Christ!

Through the Hebrew series, I have been exceedingly blessed. One particular instance comes to mind and I would like to share it with you all in this brief testimony.

Sometimes, we get wrapped up in how things are supposed to be. We see someone’s faults, and that’s all. Sometimes we don’t realize that there is still a human being under all that heavy makeup and slinky clothing. I know I have been guilty of it, and I am sure most people can say the same.

One early Tuesday morning, I was getting ready for the day. As I was combing out my hair I was listening to the tape “Hebrews Chapter 5 and 6#1.” The service had just started when Brother Branham started telling about a certain incident that had happened to him recently. The part of the service I’d like to share with you is paragraph 174 to paragraph 202, where he is talking about the restaurant he walked into and said, “I thought, “How can You stand it, God? Look like You're so holy that You just wipe that thing off the earth.””

After hearing this quote, I listened for about half an hour longer and then I had to go to work. All day long I kept thinking about it. Little did I know, that the Lord was going to give me my own special experience!

As the evening wore on, I had to go to the airport to pick up my dad and brother who were both flying in from a missionary trip. Everyone was hungry, I hadn’t eaten nearly all day, so we stopped by a restaurant to get something. We were all standing in line, waiting to make our orders when I looked around, and saw in the corner, a young woman with blue hair.

For a moment I was shocked, it wasn’t a natural blue, but a neon color. I was sure that not a single person could have overlooked her. Had I not listened to the tape that morning, I would have been tempted to think thoughts that I shouldn’t have thought. I would have probably looked at her and thought, “Why that person must be insane to dye her hair that color. What a sinful woman, not letting herself alone to look the way God would want her to look. She is a really bad person.”

Instead, I asked God to help her and show her how He could change her life. Our eyes met for a brief moment and I smiled at her. She was probably confused, but I felt at peace. I left the restaurant wondering if I would ever see her again, or even if I would recognize her if I did.

I don’t know what God has in store for her, but I know that it was Him Who put that situation together. The fact that I listened to that particular tape that morning, for us to go to that restaurant, at that time, and for us to come into contact was all part of His special plan. There were so many factors that played a role! My dad’s plane had been delayed or else we would have arrived at the restaurant hours earlier or would have even gone to a different one.

Whatever His plan is, I know that I learned something valuable through Him and the Message our prophet sent us. I hope this testimony will be a blessing to you as well!

God bless you,

Your Sister In Christ
