Yesterday, I went shopping and absent-mindedly placed my purse on top of my car in order to rearrange the groceries inside my car. At the next store I reached for my purse and realized it wasn’t there. Turning around to retrace my steps, I prayed aloud, “Lord, please have a nice, honest young man find my purse and call me.” After the prayer I noticed how peaceful I felt. (I was also rejoicing that my phone was in my pocket and not in my purse.)
One minute later my phone rang. I answered with, “Do you have my purse?” “Yes,” the man answered. I responded with, “I just prayed that a nice honest man would find it and I want to say God bless you.”
He told me his location and I met him to retrieve my purse. He was a soldier, stationed here in Fairbanks. I gave him a witnessing card, and with this these words, I parted with him, “Here is a gift card for you, but you have to look this up to receive your gift.”
God bless you,
