The Word is living and applicable for our lives across all ages. What was written centuries ago is a compass that’s appropriate for our place in time. What was spoken a few decades ago is a rock to stand on through life’s storms.
Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
Wait till you face the reality once. Don’t you try to stop that holy hush. Don’t you blast It away with some modern, educational, double-barreled shotgun. You listen to that warning of the Holy Ghost, tonight, that’s warning you, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” And He is the Word.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
But, God, in the days of the old prophets, in the midst of everything, like He did in the garden of Eden, when the true Voice of God and the true worship of God was condemned, and sent out and killed, in the garden of Eden, and the Voice of God hushed by the greed and jealousy, it’s been that way in the church ever since, trying to hush the true Voice of God.

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
But here’s a beautiful picture. There was one named Ruth, with her, another daughter-in-law, which is a type, again, of the Gentile Bride; who kissed her mother-in-law, and said, “I’ll forsake everything. I’m going with you. Let your people be my people. Let your God be my God. Wherever you die, there I’ll die. Where you’re buried, there I’ll be buried.” That’s it. That’s what God wants, is not that borderline, half way; but a absolute, full surrender to the Kingdom of God.

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
I trust that He has forgiven me, for I, as far as literally stealing anything, as I know, I never did in my life; but I’ve so misused His time till I stole that way. And I’ve done many things that I shouldn’t do. And I’m grateful to God, this morning, that He has forgiven my sins.

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
I certainly would have loved to have been here during the time of His visit to the earth. But, still, I think this right now is a greater time, because it’s a time that He’s coming to take the people that He’s redeemed, nearing the resurrection when all the redeemed will come forth. What a glorious opportunity we have, to speak to a dying people, great time! We are enthused about it.

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
No matter how long you been a Christian, and you still got those little old spirits that talk to you, makes you fly loose, makes you talk about somebody. When somebody comes up and goes to speaking about somebody else, you join right in with them and, oh, just run them down. That’s wrong, brother. Don’t do that. That’ll finally keep you out of the promised Land.
As long as you’re in that Word, you’re safe.
