Beloved brothers, I cordially greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I would like to share with you a testimony that happened to me in June of this year (2019). Regardless of how old we are, the devil will always be there to tempt us. We will have to go through different trials and difficulties throughout our lives, but we (as sons of the Great King) have to keep in mind that He will ALWAYS be by our side helping us and extending His Merciful Hand. A few days ago, the devil constantly put thoughts in my mind. When I saw Hollywood stars (rich and famous people) on the internet, when I was a teenager I took them as an example and wanted to be like them.
Actually, all these thoughts made me feel too sad, guilty and worried, because I did not even understand what was happening to me. About a month ago, I decided to start making daily letters to the Lord Jesus Christ, where I would expose him to my worries and problems that arose in my daily life. I really feel that this has been influencing in a GREAT way in my spiritual life. I remember that one night writing my daily letter, I came to the thought (as a form of distraction) an imagination of how my life would be as a famous, rich and popular person. That same week we decided to start filling out the Quiz of the month (YF Tape Quiz) with my family, entitled "58-0720m By faith, Moses."
So I began to fill my quiz, happy and enthusiastic, attentive to all Word that the prophet of God mentioned in the sermon. It was wonderful because each word touched and penetrated in the deepest part of my heart, and I really loved this sermon.
When Brother Branham was concluding, I felt SO happy and happy to have heard that day, precisely that message that instructed me to raise my faith; meditating on this, the prophet of God mentioned:
I’d rather be the son of the Lord Jesus, and His fellow servant, and take my place with the rejected people of this world, than to be President of this great United States of America, or to be an Elvis Presley, or a Pat Boone, or whoever you want to make it. I’ll take my way.
Young ladies ought to take their way. Instead of being a—a Mary Pickford, or some great movie star, some glamour girl, take your way with the Lord’s despised few.
I’d rather be a preacher in the pulpit, preaching the unsearchable riches of Christ, than to be a Hollywood movie star, or the greatest person on the earth. If I had to eat meager, beg, or whatever I had to do, I’ll take my way with the Lord’s people. By faith, I do that. I’ve been offered opportunity. But, by God’s grace, I still see by faith.
I immediately took that for myself, He gave the answer and the calm to my affliction. The Lord touched my heart at that moment in a very special way, and I remembered what I had thought a couple of days before. I know that He listens to my every thought all the time, and I thank Him very much for this little pearl that He gave me while listening to the sermon. I just want to live for Him, I want to dedicate myself to Him and by NONE of the vanities or fame of the world I would change being a DAUGHTER OF THE KING (as I am now sure I am).
Some may think that what happened to me was very simple, but brothers, God is in simplicity. Now I am sure that He redeemed me, He died for me. Therefore, I want to be ONLY like Him, MY GRAND KING who is more real than the same computer that I have in front of me at this moment.
Thanks to this response that God gave me in this Great Sermon, today I have made my decision to follow Him.
God bless you.
