It was June 2018. I felt an unusual pain in my throat and all throughout my chest. It was so painful that I could feel a bloody smell through my nostrils. I went for check-up at Regency Medical Centre, a multi-specialist hospital located in Dar es Salaam. The doctor’s results showed a developing growth in my throat and concluded that it was a cancer. He just prescribed some drugs and paracetamols, of which I was so upset that I couldn’t swallow them.
I went for check-up at a different hospital hoping for negative results, but in vain. I had to quit teaching because chalk dust made my condition worse. I was so desperate, like Elisha before Jordan River. I silently sought God for months, without relief. I later revealed it to my pastor who gave me a prayer cloth from the VGR; I believed with all my heart that the cancer was finished.
In August 2019, I went back to Regency Hospital for diagnosis. The doctor reported that the cancer was still there, but it was dormant. My faith grew stronger, I felt like, “Only Believe, All Things Are Possible.” I persisted!
In January 2020, I attended the Youth Quiet Time Meeting held at Dar es Salaam Zoo. My prayer was, “Lord I thank you for my healing!”
Four months later, something happened! An instant heavy cough went through my throat which made me spit out two black bloody pieces of flesh. I was scared; I rushed to hospital for examination. To the doctor’s surprise, not even a single speck of cancer was detected. I am now in a very good health. The Lord Jesus Christ of Acts 19 is here, the same yesterday, today and forever. To Him be the Glory forever and ever.
