My testimony was published on the VGR website in November 2011. I continue to follow and trust in my Lord Jesus Christ who is my Absolute Ultimate and in my heart I made Him a promise that I would put my name to my testimony.
I would like to share another testimony of healing that I received from my Lord Jesus. I had been diagnosed with graves disease, (an illness of the thyroid which is overactive in the production of thyroid hormone) in 2000, and since that time had to take medication to control the thyroid gland so it would produce the right amount of hormone instead of over producing. If I did not keep on the medication, it would leave me with heart palpitations, anxiety and nervousness, enlarged thyroid gland, hair loss, and extreme weight loss to name just a few of the symptoms.
The disease is life threatening if not properly controlled with medication and there is no man-made cure for it. During the pregnancy with my son, the specialist told me that maybe six months after my baby was born that they would have me on radioiodine treatment (just one treatment) which would kill part of the thyroid gland, but in turn I still would be on medication to then produce more thyroid hormone instead of less.
But they class this as "better" as it would be more manageable to treat an underactive thyroid as they would not have to experiment with the dose of medication. I just take one tablet once and for all.
I did not want to have this treatment or continue to take any medication for any thyroid condition, under or over active. I have lived with this disease for 11 years and in my heart was adamant that I would not continue to do so. I prayed and asked the Lord in my heart for healing and then believed. It has been seven weeks since the birth of our son and usually by this time after giving birth, my thyroid would be producing way too much hormone and I would be back on medication.
Four days ago I went to the doctor to get the results of my last blood tests and praise the Lord, the test came back normal. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ healed me and I will continue to believe in His Power.
